Mountain View, Calif. — August 23, 2017 — Waterline Data, a leader in Data Lifecycle Management, announced today the appointments of two experienced executives to its management team. Venkat Subramanian joins as Vice President of Engineering while Andrew Ahn is promoted to Vice President of Product Marketing. Waterline finished the most recent quarter with 50% quarter over quarter growth and the new leadership will facilitate the company’s rapidly expanding customer base and product portfolio to deliver data catalog solutions for the discovery, governance and accelerated use of Big Data.
Subramanian brings significant management experience to Waterline Data, having previously led engineering teams at both Dataguise, a leading security solutions innovator, and SpikeSource, an open source software certification company. His leadership experience will be instrumental in growing Waterline Data’s software engineering teams to expand development and maintenance of Waterline’s Smart Data Catalog solutions.

Since joining Waterline Data in January of 2017, Ahn has led the product management team tasked with developing the customer stories that showcase the value of the company’s data catalog solutions. Previously, Ahn held product management positions at Hortonworks as well as the Intercontinental Exchange.
