Waterline is Alex’s 3rd startup.
Prior to Waterline Data, Alex served as GM of Informatica’s Data Quality Business Unit, driving Marketing, Product Management and R&D for an $80M business. Alex joined Informatica from IBM, where he was an IBM Distinguished Engineer for the Information Integration team. IBM acquired Alex’s second startup, Exeros, where he was founder, CTO and VP of Engineering.
Previously, Alex was co-founder, CTO and VP of Engineering at Acta Technology which was subsequently acquired by Business Objects. Prior to founding Acta, Alex managed development of Replication Server at Sybase and worked on Sybase’s strategy for enterprise application integration (EAI).
Alex holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University School of Engineering and a M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
President and COO
Kaycee oversees all aspects of Waterline’s field operations, marketing, strategy, and business development. Prior to Waterline, he served as SVP of Products & World Wide Field Operations for Primary Data. In 2013, Kaycee joined VMware via its acquisition of Virsto where he drove a 500% increase in revenue. Prior to Virsto, Kaycee was VP of WW Sales at Delphix, where he grew sales at a 200%+ pace for four consecutive quarters. Previously, he held various leadership roles at EMC including general manager for a 100 person, $120 million business unit. Prior to EMC, Kaycee was the top performing sales director for Avamar Technologies, where he was part of the team that led a successful acquisition by EMC. Before Avamar, Kaycee also held various roles at Microsoft and EMC.
Kaycee holds a BA in Psychology from Pomona College.
Prior to Waterline Data, Jason worked at Teradata, first as VP of the Database Engineering Group, responsible for Teradata’s flagship database product, and then as GM of the China Development Center. Under his leadership, five significant database software releases were successfully completed in four years and were extensively deployed in customer production environments.
Before coming to Teradata, Jason was VP of Engineering at Acta Technology. Jason helped grow the company from scratch to $20M+ in annual revenue and 100+ Global 1000 customers in four years.
Jason received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California and holds several US patents.
VP of Sales
Ravi brings to Waterline 15+ years of experience in the hi-tech industry in Sales and Sales Management delivering strong revenue results in highly competitive markets. Most recently, Ravi was part of the founding team at CSC’s Big Data incubator and as the top performing Sales Leader in the Americas, helped grow the unit into a $200M business driving the adoption of Hadoop, NoSQL and Next Gen Platform-as-a-Service solutions into global 1000 customers. Prior to this, as VP of Sales and member of the management team at AppLabs, he was instrumental in growing North Americas revenue resulting in a successful acquisition by CSC. Previously, Ravi was SVP of Sales at China-based VanceInfo Technologies leading sales efforts in the Americas culminating in a public listing on the NYSE. His previous roles included senior positions at Xchanging, Pegasystems and Scient. Ravi holds an MBA from Clark University in Massachusetts and a Bachelor’s Degree from Delhi University.
Todd is a silicon valley veteran with over 20+ years of experience in marketing and general management. Prior to Waterline, Todd was the COO at Bina Technologies, a big data genomics software company, acquired by Roche Sequencing. Before Bina, Todd was Vice President and General Manager for Enterprise Data Integration at Informatica where he was responsible for their $200MM PowerCenter software product line.Todd has also held marketing and leadership roles at both start-ups and large organizations including Nlyte, Exeros (acquired by IBM), ScaleMP, Netscape/AOL and HP. Todd has an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.S.E.E. from Northwestern University.
VP of Products
Mohan comes to Waterline Data from Narus (Cybersecurity subsidiary of Boeing) where he was the SVP of Products and Business Development responsible for the big data cybersecurity suite of products. Prior to this, he served as VP and GM of the cloud services broker business unit at Intel Corporation, through the acquisition of Aepona. His experience also includes serving as the SVP of marketing at Synchronous (through acquisition of FusionOne) where he managed marketing, business development, products and the patent portfolio. Mohan has also held leadership positions at Trimble, Openwave Systems, Schlumberger and Nortel. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Queens University in Canada and an MBA from Columbia University.
During her 20-year career in Silicon Valley, Myoung has led finance and administration in start-up companies through nine acquisitions, including Aria Glassworks/Bubbli (Dropbox), Bump (Google), Pulse (LinkedIn), TagArray (Maxim), Bitplay (Jive), Makara (Red Hat), and Reflectivity (Texas Instruments). She was the finance lead for many rounds of fundraising, and has led many rounds of due diligence from Seed Series through Series D. Prior to working for start-ups, she worked for a private venture capital firm where she helped managed their portfolio. Myoung holds a B.A. in Economics from Bryn Mawr College.
